February - The Month Ahead

We have another interesting - as in potentially challenging - month ahead. And here's why:

Mercury will retrograde from February 16 to March 9 in Pisces and Aquarius. But the shadow period starts tomorrow (February 2). In Pisces, Mercury is a little groggy and distracted. But also creative, emotional and idealistic. So don't be surprised if you find yourself talking and thinking a lot about your feelings and dreams but also starting your sentences with "what if?".

“What if?” questions force us to imagine or create, often calling forth strong emotions.

Here's a quick example of a "what if" question:

What if I finally learned how to play the piano this year?

Write out your answers to your what-if questions and you'll notice you've written a series of powerful declarations. What-if questions have the power to shift your entire world and the quality of your life.

During this retrograde period, you may also find yourself rethinking and revisiting past aspirations, projects, and people. Pencil in your calendar/planner time to reconnect with old colleagues/friends as well as time to sift through the boxes in your attic or basement. In fact, don't be surprised if old friends reach out to you at this time.

Nostalgia, for people and places from your past (Neptune in Pisces in a dance with Mercury), may open more than one door of opportunity.

Be careful with your words - as always - but especially more so while Mercury retrogrades in sensitive Pisces.

If you're in a position where you're waiting on someone don't expect any concrete decisions or final answers this month because communication at best will be nebulous and uncertain. If you get an answer, there's a good chance that person will change his/her mind later on.

Postpone if you can, making any life-altering decisions during this time and don't sign any contracts. My advice this month: Expect nothing. But, prepare for all eventualities.

This includes backing up data, making hard copies of important documentation and getting things down on paper.

Venus glides into Aries February 7 (until March 4). Here Venus is fiery, flirty and independent. You may feel emboldened to declare your feelings for someone special or go after what you want. This energy will be strong on Valentine's day as Mars will be in Sagittarius and therefore in a bold and energizing aspect to Venus. Valentine's Day is hot and sexy this year.

Mars enters Capricorn on the 16th (MST). Here Mars is in exaltation - at its highest power. You will want to get things done in a practical and focused manner but remember you will be challenged by Mercury's foggy influence.

You may find it hard to be consistent.

Cardinal sun signs: Aries, Cancer, Libra, Capricorn will have an easier time of getting things done this month.

And lastly some thrilling news! ✨

On the 20th we have a magical aspect between Jupiter (luck, expansion, blessings) in Capricorn and Neptune (wishes, dreams) in Pisces. This aspect is rare but occurs three times this year! So please mark your calendar! A dream may very well come true that day. Expect rewards for good work and blessings of personal growth.
