Full Moon in Pisces

Let me begin with a story. Cassandra was a daughter of King Priam and Queen Hecuba. It is said, she was the most beautiful of their daughters and her beauty brought many suitors to the palace. Not all her suitors were mortal. Zeus was keen and so was his son, Apollo. Apollo, the Sun God, desperate to win her heart, bestowed her with the gift of prophecy. But this gift did not make Cassandra love him and when she refused his advances, Apollo cursed her. “You will remain clairvoyant,” he said, “but no one will believe a word you say.” So when Cassandra foresaw the sacking of Troy and many other tragedies, she was ignored and ridiculed.
You are going to feel like Cassandra more often than not during this lunar cycle. You are going to intuit something or perhaps have a dream that rings like a warning bell, and no one is going to believe you. This is because Mercury (Libra) is trine Jupiter (Aquarius) inconjunct Neptune (Pisces) and square Pluto (Capricorn) during this lunation.
The Moon will be Full at 4:54pm PT, September 20th. In Pisces, Luna brings feelings bubbling up to the surface but since she is conjunct Neptune, you may try to disassociate from these feelings. Mercury is exactly opposite Eris, the dwarf planet of discord and tension. Eris is sitting in Aries, so whatever is causing the tension has more to do with you and your perception of a situation or a person than the other person. Chances are your ego is bruised. On the other hand, Eris reminds us that a little chaos is good for the soul because order can lead to stagnation. Look to the house occupied by Aries in your birth chart for clues as to what is currently causing tension or asking for release. For example, Eris in the 3rd House could indicate trouble with a sibling or neighbour and Mercury in Libra says the solution lies in accepting different points of view, mediation or taking the legal route.
The Moon is opposite Mars in Virgo, making this a potentially drama-filled lunation which will impact your health if you’re not careful. Chances are there is someone in your life (or more than one person) telling you how they think you should “be more orderly and organized” or “more practical”. Issues will certainly revolve around the other person’s need for perfection. Reinforce your boundaries or create some!
The Moon opposite the Sun in practical, order-loving Virgo reminds us to make time for Dreams, Vision and Spirit. An “impossible’ dream may be realized at this time or a new dream may start taking shape.
This Full Moon asks us to create refuge and to focus on spiritual comfort. You can do this by creating a sacred space in your home, even if it is only a little nook. Think of the things that fill you with deep tranquility. It could be a beautiful picture, a religious symbol like a cross or the smell of incense. It could be a statue of a beloved deity like Quan Yin (Goddess of Compassion) or it could be a collection of special items like shells and feathers. Invest a few minutes every day to visit your refuge and carry tranquility in the form of a precious item - a feather, a gemstone - in your pocket or bag. Solitude will bring peace and healing.
