Mercury Square Saturn

Today November 1st, Mercury in backpedaling mode squares Saturn at 26 degrees (Mercury in Libra and Saturn in Capricorn) and then after Mercury stations direct on the 3rd and begins moving forward he will square Saturn again on the 9th.

Squares are challenging aspects and these Mercury-Saturn squares will set the tone for the next 19 days or so. This is “go- slow” energy. Saturn, at home in Capricorn, is more powerful than Mercury and since Saturn does not rush into things, use caution when trying to push for decisions or results. If you make hasty decisions at this time, you will probably regret some, if not all of those purchases in the weeks to come. Take your time. Do your research. And very importantly be aware of your limitations. Exactly how much can you commit to at this time?

You may find yourself weighed down by self-doubt and negative thoughts. You may believe your ideas aren’t “good enough” or you're not “clever enough”. You may also feel somehow restricted by language or your ability with words and to a large extent you will feel you are being tested by an older person or someone in a position of authority.

“Never let self-doubt hold you captive” - Roy Bennett (Mercury square Saturn)

Mercury is still retrograde and will be in his post-retrograde period until the 19th. From now until then use your words with care. It’s important that you explain yourself as clearly as possible and if you are in a position of leadership do your best to outline expectations.

The US election on November 3rd will probably be a repeat of the 2000 elections (Bush vs Gore) as many astrologers have already predicted. I don’t expect we will know who will be the next President until around December 14 because a spanner or two will definitely be thrown into the works (Uranus opposite Mercury). Brace yourself for what is going to be a drawn out affair.
