New Moon in Taurus

The New Moon in Taurus occurs at 11:59am PT tomorrow May 11th and while the astrology of the day is lovely for this is a Venus-ruled Moon (in Jupiter’s term) we have to consider today's astrology (May 10th) because the Moon conjoins Uranus in Taurus and Mercury conjoins the North Node in Gemini.

This is a strong indication of surprising news winging its way towards us. There is also the promise of enlightenment or revelation as the Mercury- North Node conjunction is a karmic pairing. A message received or something overheard may feel “fated”. You may also meet someone who will act as a catalyst in your life. An excellent day for telepathic communication.

Depending on the insights gleaned today, the New Moon invites us to work through emotions to bring about radical change and healing. Talk about how you feel. Draw out negative emotions and release the poison.

The Moon also sextiles Neptune in Pisces an indication that we will discover creative solutions to any problems that come up. This is a Moon that blesses the cultivation of a wild mind. A wild mind is connected to the changing seasons, the Moon, the deer in the forest path, the sun setting behind the mountains...Divorce yourself from the Western psychological worldview of consumerism and materialism.

Jupiter sits at the anaretic degree (29° Aquarius) and this signals the end of a chapter. Certainly if not the end END, Jupiter will definitely exacerbate tensions. Jupiter will retrograde back into Aquarius after a short stay in Pisces which is why I say you may not change the locks just yet, but be aware that you’ll be under stress to do so.

With both the Sun and Moon in resourceful Venus-ruled Taurus, in a stressful aspect to Jupiter, we are being asked to work on our sense of worth - which is not dependent on what you do or don’t possess or what others think of you. Worthiness is a mindset.
