New Moon In Virgo (30 August)
Updated: Sep 7, 2019

Tomorrow’s new moon in Virgo is a black moon.
A black moon is the second new moon in the same calendar month and a powerful harbinger of new beginnings.
Before you sit down to write your intentions tomorrow (or Saturday morning) think about what needs to be cleared out or released in order to welcome in the new.
This release does not necessarily relate to psychological debris.
Look at your environment - office and work - and see what steps you can take to make things more practical, easier-to-access and generally more organized.
Remember things don’t have to be “perfect” around the home or in your work environment they just have to be better.
Here are a few ideas:
Clean out your refrigerator
Go through your handbag and purse or wallet.
Wash your car.
Get your filing up to date.
Clear your inbox.
Now a few words on setting your intentions:
It's a good idea to write out your intentions and to limit them to ten. Use words that speak of Virgoan traits like “practical”, “disciplined”, “organized” but please know that this is not a requirement.
Here’s an example of a new moon wish for tomorrow:
I see myself taking disciplined action towards achieving my goal of learning to speak Italian.
Virgo is also associated with health, healing and nurturing so consider the many ways you can improve your health and stamina. Practice self-compassion.
Here is what this black moon highlights for each astrological sign. (If you know your Ascendant please read that too).
ARIES
Before setting your intentions this Friday, take a moment to reflect on how you have been deliberately trying to hide or reject your true nature.
What needs have you been suppressing or denying that now clamor for your attention? For example: Do you crave independence but find yourself dependent on others? Do you seek adventure or new experiences but are holding back because you lack confidence?
This new moon blesses your intentions to get to know yourself better; to learn the difference between what you want and what others want for you. In this process of reconnecting with yourself, your intentions for better health, greater stamina, resilience and commitment to your dreams will take root.
To know what that true self is without social pressure is to know your true nature. - Martha Beck
TAURUS
Before setting your intentions, ask yourself if you're listening to your heart or if everything you’ve been doing until now has been rinsed clean by logic and rational thinking.
The muse is knocking at your door this week. What creative project beckons? What heart song needs to be shared? And what are you prepared to do (and lose) to make your art?
This new moon asks you to make room for the muse, to run with your wildest ideas and take a leap of faith. Set intentions around creativity, pleasure-seeking, and risk-taking.
To practice any art, no matter how well or badly, is a way to make your soul grow. So do it. - Kurt Vonnegut
GEMINI
Before setting your intentions down on paper tomorrow, ask yourself “what does home mean to me”? Remember that home is much more than a physical place. It's also a spiritual place and feeling.
For example, how “at home” do you feel in your body?
Turn your gaze inward; to the rooms inside you. What beliefs are taking up space in your interior that affect how comfortable you feel with your own skin?
What do you need to feel safe and secure?
Set your intentions this Friday around the word “home” and how you want to feel.
Home is not a place, it’s a feeling. - Unknown
