Weekend Vibes (August 17/18)

Happy Weekend!
The Moon is in Pisces all day today (Saturday) making this a perfect day to dream, imagine, meditate and journal.
The need to wind down and relax is further emphasized by the waning Moon which is a time for listening and noticing.
If you’ve been wanting to practice mindfulness, which means becoming more aware of your feelings, surrounding and others, then today would be a good day.
Here is Mary Oliver’s beautiful poem “Mindful” that captures the experience of mindfulness:
Every day
I see or hear
something
that more or less
kills me
with delight,
that leaves me
like a needle
in the haystack
of light.
it was what I was born for -
to look, to listen,
to lose myself
inside this soft world -
to instruct myself over and over
in joy
and acclamation.
nor am I talking
about the exceptional,
the fearful, the dreadful,
the very extravagant -
but of the ordinary,
the common, the very drab,
the daily presentations.
Oh good scholar,
I say to myself,
how can you help
but grow wise
wth such teachings
as these -
the untrimmable light
of the world,
the ocean’s shine,
the prayers that are made
out of grass.
Mindfulness is about really seeing things - clearly, perhaps for the first time.
If you're hoping to get stuff done today you should know that Mars (planet of action) is in hard aspect to Saturn (planet of order and discipline).
This means you’re going to find it challenging to focus and complete projects today.
It’s best to observe and plan.
If you want to make some progress then do things in increments - work through the smaller but important tasks. For example, edit your work if you’re a writer or tweak a website.
The big news this weekend is Mars moves into Virgo tomorrow morning (Sunday).
Mars will be in Virgo from August 18th to October 4th. In Virgo, the god of action asks you to make your ideas concrete and carry out plans in an organized, methodical way. Depending on which house Virgo lives in your chart, you can expect to see progress over the next two months.
What are you doing this weekend?
